Korean drama streaming site Dramafever and cable network AMC are proving that niche streaming site is the way to move forward.

The two are teaming up to launch Shudder.tv, another niche streaming site that specializes in horror films.

This will be the second time that Dramafever and AMC team up for a niche streaming site. Previously, AMC launched the SundanceNow Doc Club which was powered by Dramafever. While AMC secured the licensing for the 600+ contents, Dramafever worked on the design and so every page features a small tag that says “powered by DramaFever.”

This time is no different as Shudder.tv will be "powered by DramaFever."

Niche streaming services like DramaFever, Qello, and Crunchyroll have been able to thrive by specifically targeting a niche market and they may be the best way forward for media players who may not have the resources to win against Netflix.
