Mike Nichols, one of the few creative individuals to have won an Oscar, a Tony, an Emmy and a Grammy, passed away on Wednesday.

Anyone who hasn't watched The Graduate and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? should try to rectify that immediately. It's sad that I won't ever be able to catch his 2012 Broadway production of Death of a Salesman, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman as the tragic patriarch Willy Loman (in which Mike Nichols won a Tony for directing). I've heard only positive things about the production.

The world loses another creative genius. It's time like this that reminds us life is short and we should always try to produce our best creative work whenever we can as we never know when the journey will end.
